Writing 2016 WK 6 T1

Splash I hit the water with a smash. I go in a crooked line of backstroke. I reach the flags, that tell me I am only 1 metre away until I finish! I come third and get a orange stick. It was finally time for my freestyle race! I sit on the edge and dive. I race ahead of everyone and do one more stroke and I finish Yay! I shout to mum I came first. Then It was time for morning tea. We all sit down and have something to eat. Then a lady calls out who is in the finals for backstroke she calls out my name my tummy rumbles and I get butterflies in my stomach. And race over and jump in backwards like a slim pin.Then Sheral burst out take your marks and claps the starting gun!  I dive from my feet and race ahead of everyone again and come 1st! I felt so proud of myself! I go back into the changing rooms with Kirsten and have a hot shower. “It needs to be hotter” I yell to Kirsten.
