Writing Recount Term 1 2016 WK 3 Camping

Term 1 Recount                            CAMPING                         Lani

Yay! “We are here!” I shouted with a smile on my face. We were at Urupukapuka Island camping. It was Monday afternoon. We started to unload all of our gear. I went down to the water, “do I have to help unload? My feet get itchy from the salt“ I whinged. “Yes you do” Mum replied. We were finally done. My Dad took off to go pick the cousins up from the beach we came from.They were back in no time. We all raced down to the water and helped unload all their gear.

Finally, everyone was here. We all helped each other set the tents up and then we went and played on the golden sand. My feet sunk into the sand “ouch, hot, hot!” I raced off the sand and back on to the green grass. “Dinner time” Aunty steph yells out we all raced to the plastic table. After dinner we did our teeth and got into our PJ's then went down to the sand and look at a stingray cruising along the beach. It was about 9:00pm when we went to bed we all ran to the toilet before we got into bed. “Good night” I say to Mum and Georgia. Kaleb and Dad were sleeping in another tent because Mum gets sick of Dad snoring. I was sleeping in the queen bed with Mum and Georgia was below me.

Zip! goes the pantry in the morning, my tummy rumbles, I’m hungry.
